Since I moved to a different County, I had to start over, and I figured all classes had the same information, but I was wrong. I learned a few more very useful skills that I can use and will use. I first began using firearms at age 9, & I take the responsibility of having a CCW permit very seriously. I therefore got a perfect score on my written test as expected. But the course itself was not as I had expected. It was instead far SUPERIOR. The instructor’s comments about “real life examples” of when to draw/not draw your weapon were both thought provoking & invaluable lessons! This is one of the best CCW and firearms safety courses I have attended. The course was interesting with a lot of information from the instructors who are not only retired LEO but also certified DOJ Instructors, NRA Instructors, and Active Shooter response certified instructors. Unlike other courses this was not boring. These instructors are certified under the brand new 2024 requirements which were mandated by DOJ. If you need to re-qual or apply for a new CCW in Calaveras, Alpine, Amador (I think) or Stanislaus Counties, I highly recommend this course as these guys are top notch! Jay B.
